Thurso Salmon on Mairi's Shrimp

I had a few days on my favourite river, the Thurso. Despite low water and difficult overhed conditions I mangaged to take 5 salmon to 13lb.  The killing fly was the Mairi's Shrimp, which accounted for 4 and the Calvin's which took the other. Here are a couple of grilse from Bt 9
